RONZONI HEALTHY HARVEST just keeps getting better! All of our products are now not only an excellent source of fiber and whole grain, but also an excellent source of Omega-3!

What is Omega-3? Basically, it's an essential fatty acid that the body cannot produce itself. Therefore, people need to derive it from food! The fact is: we all need fats. Fats help nutrients absorb, nerves interact, and keep cells in the body strong. However, not all fats are created equal. Omega-3 has been shown to play a part in reducing blood pressure, lowering cholesterol, reducing hypertension, and helping the body stay inflammation free. Omega-3 is also important for brain and eye development in children and to support healthy brain function in adults. Omega-3 may be important in heart health by lowering triglyceride levels and increasing HDL (good cholesterol) levels in the blood. Other foods that are a good source of Omega-3 include cold water fish such as sardines, salmon and tuna or vegetable sources such as flaxseed.

RONZONI HEALTHY HARVEST contains flaxseed, which is one of nature's richest sources of Omega-3 fatty acids. In addition, the flaxseed also provides the body with lignans, which are a plant-derived antioxidant which mimics estrogen metabolism with no adverse side effects. Lignans have been linked to reduced risk of colon, breast, and prostate cancers, as well as a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.
